YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not that I give a rat's ass about the superbowl, but the rumor on E Street has been that if he plays the Superbowl, there will be a new album coming out in early 2009, and the Superbowl performance will kick off a tour. Now, please let that be true.

Nanny
In other news, I'm Relay For Life Ceremonies Co-Chair. I'm so happy. My committee is responsible for planning, in particular, the luminaria ceremony, and choosing the music, which I'm obviously stoked about. I was thinking "Who You'd Be Today" by Kenny Chesney and "The Rising", by Bruce.

Breathe
Not to mention, I decided to be bad and go out Saturday night. It's nice to be completely back to normal with Emily. I missed her. You-know-who is still completely insane though, and has decided that since Kayleigh and I never stay at the Branch until last call, we're anti-social. Ooookay. As opposed to her, who just sits there looking bored and not talking the whole time. Whatevs. And she was "pacing herself" with her drinks (aka, judging us). Right. Because one of the three of us has managed to puke in the sink in the pantry. I'm pretty sure it wasn't me or Kayleigh. So continue to pace yourself. Kayleigh and I really need to get our drinking under control.
My favorite thing that happened at the bar this weekend was: we were playing Photo Hunt, and "Jungleland" (fave Springsteen song #2) came on, and Emily goes "this music makes me want to cry", and I'm think "great, here we go with how bad Bruce is", but I didn't say anything about it. Then later she goes "I said that song made me want to cry, not because it's bad, but because I'm starting to develop an affinity for Springsteen, especially that song, and it reminds me of this summer at the lake." Now, I don't want to say I told you so or anything, but this just proves that I am always right.
So, I love campaign season. This is the window in my room right now:

We have an Obama AND a McCain sign. But McCain is bigger and in bigger print, so I win.

This is my door. Kayleigh had to write Obama '08 on our whiteboard, because she doesn't have a cool sign, and then we wrote "Bipartisan Roomie Love", because, well, we love each.
Now, the interesting thing is that the president of College Dems lives right smack across the hall from me. Here is her door:
Now, personally I think mine looks better. The small thing is a sticker for John Tonello, who is running against George Winner for State Senate. She's missing something for Eric Massa (Randy Kuhl's opponent), but other than that, we have some serious sign wars going on. It's amusing, but at the end of the day, I don't really like her, and my door looks better (and more colorful, thus, more eye-catching).

Get your heads out of your asses
I have more foreign policy experience than Barack Obama. I've taken three foreign relations classes. My foreign policy experiences could kick my friends' foreign policy experiences' asses. So there. And in one of those classes, I ran Germany. For three weeks. I should be president.
As Mike Huckabee said, "you get more executive experience being governor for 2 years than being a senator for 10." And, Sarah Palin can see Russia from her backyard. We need to be keeping our eye on those cats. And, Sarah Palin does not need foreign policy experience. John McCain won't fuck around. Barack Obama will get walked all over.
The other day in my FOREIGN POLICY CLASS, we were talking about how we need to improve our relationship with Venezuela, and this girl was like "I don't care. Latin America is not high on my list of priorities" (which I agree with), and this guy was like "Well, they have oil!" Don't we have that? I thought we had oil? Maybe if we ACTUALLY USED IT, we wouldn't have to worry.

Mountain Day Roulette
I end the day with coffee stains my teeth, disastrous hair, massive headaches, pen-stained hands, and highlighter all over...EVERYTHING. Hands, face, bed...I should just paint myself yellow.

Goodbye, Love
So, the shorthand of a three-year relationship...I was miserable in the Aaron aftermath, I saw the movie and really watched it, and it taught me how to live again. Not to mention it really opened my mind. RENT, more than any other piece of pop culture (except MAYBE Springsteen) has shaped my life more than anything else. And even though I've cheated on RENT a lot, it will always be my favorite (sorry, SA). I love RENT. I'm looking forward to seeing the tour, and I'm really looking forward to an eventual revival.
So here's a look back...

It's time now to sing out, though the story never ends/Let's celebrate, remember a year in the life of friends/Remember the love

Matty
My big buddy is starting school today! I can't believe it! It seems like only yesterday that I was driving to the hospital with Dad, Sara, and Mariah to go meet him. They grow up too fast. I know that he will make lots of new friends and have an all-around great time at school, and I'm excited for him. I'm even jealous. Sometimes I wish I could go back to the beginning and do some things differently. Anyway, I hope he's as smart as his aunt his (just kidding). I will be thinking about him today, and I can't wait to hear all about it!
Keena, no crying.

This kid is the reason I want to teach.

A pretty accurate summary of the past 3 years of friendship between these two.
